Farzad Piltan further said on Sunday that Iran's oil and non-oil exports to the African states, including Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, South Africa, Tunisia, Morocco, Mozambique, Tanzania, Djibouti and Somalia, amounted to $397 million in the first six months of Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 22).
He added that the value of exports to African nations stood at about $752 million last year, which was $142 million more than the figure for the preceding year.
The most important export items of Iran to the African states include iron, steel, bitumen, liquid gas, chemical products, cement, food dough, biscuits, chocolate, flooring, paraffin, vaseline, motor oil and raisins.
